सरकारची शेतकरी कर्जमाफी फक्त ‘सेल्फ प्रमोशन’साठी

मुंबई : राज्य सरकारने केलेली शेतकरी कर्जमाफी शेतकऱ्यांसाठी नव्हे तर फक्त ‘सेल्फ प्रमोशन’साठीच केली होती, असे टीकास्त्र विधानसभेतील विरोधी पक्षनेते राधाकृष्ण विखे पाटील यांनी सोडले आहे.

कर्जमाफीनंतर मागील तीन महिन्यात झालेल्या ६९६ शेतकरी आत्महत्या आणि यवतमाळ जिल्ह्याच्या उमरखेड तालुक्यातील एका शेतकऱ्याने स्वतःची चिता रचून आत्महत्या केल्याच्या घटनेसंदर्भात प्रतिक्रिया देताना ते बोलत होते. यावेळी विखे पाटील म्हणाले की, कर्जमाफीच्या निर्णयाबाबत सरकारची भूमिका प्रामाणिक नव्हती. त्यामुळेच या योजनेच्या अंमलबजावणीत मोठी हेळसांड करण्यात आली. कर्जमाफीनंतरही मागील तीन महिन्यात ६९६ शेतकरी आत्महत्या झाल्या आहेत. थकित कर्जामुळे होणाऱ्या शेतकरी आत्महत्या रोखण्यासाठी कर्जमाफीची आवश्यकता होता. परंतु, कर्जमाफीनंतरही शेतकरी आत्महत्या कमी झालेल्या नाहीत, यावरून या कर्जमाफीतून शेतकऱ्यांना भरीव दिलासा मिळू शकतो, हा विश्वास निर्माण करण्यात सरकार अपयशी ठरले आहे.

थकित कर्जामुळे यवतमाळ जिल्ह्यात एका शेतकऱ्याने स्वतःची चिता रचून आत्महत्या केली, हे सरकारसाठी अत्यंत लांच्छनास्पद आहे. यापूर्वी याच जिल्ह्यातील एका शेतकऱ्याने पंतप्रधानांच्या नावे पत्र लिहून आत्महत्या केली. २०१४ च्या निवडणूक प्रचारात पंतप्रधानांनी याच परिसरात ‘चाय पे चर्चा’ करून शेतकऱ्यांना उत्पादन खर्चावर ५० टक्के नफा मिळेल इतका हमीभाव देण्याचे आश्वासन दिले होते. पण आज राज्यातील हजारो शेतकरी आत्महत्या करीत असताना पंतप्रधानांना त्यांची व्यथा जाणून घेण्यासाठी वेळ मिळू नये, यातून भारतीय जनता पक्षाची शेतकऱ्यांप्रतीची उदासीन भूमिका स्पष्ट होते, अशी बोचरी टीका विखे पाटील यांनी यावेळी केली.
